Al-Khāliq Al-Khallāq (The Creator, the Sublime Creator)

Look at this nature around you and the sky high above. Glory be to the One Who created this splendid universe.

And ponder the perfect creation of the Superb Creator, and His signs and miracles.

Who created the heavens and earth? Who created grains and seeds? Who created the morning, made the night tranquil, and rendered the sun and moon a means of calculation? Who created human beings from mud? Who created the entire humankind from one soul? Who gave everything He created its due proportion and then gave it guidance?

{This is the creation of Allah. So show Me what those other than Him have created...} [Surat Luqmān: 11]

Glory be to the One Whose magnificence dazzles the minds of those who know Him!

Glory be to the One Whose miraculous signs are clear to those who reflect!

Glory be to the One Whose lights guide those walking on the path to Him!

{...So blessed is Allah, the Best of the Creators.} [Surat al-Mu’minūn: 14]

We pause here with two of the beautiful names of Allah Almighty: “Al-Khāliq” (the Creator) and “Al-Khallāq” (the Sublime Creator).

Allah Almighty says: {Indeed, your Lord – He is the Sublime Creator, the All-Knowing.} [Surat al-Hijr: 86] He also says: {He is Allah, the Creator, the Initiator, the Supreme Fashioner...} [Surat al-Hashr: 24]

It is our Lord Who brought all things into existence after they had previously been non-existent. He created them in an unprecedented manner. Indeed, the actions of Allah Almighty are in the exact measure He gave to them.

Magnificence of the Creator..

Everything that exists in the universe is His creation, pointing to His divinity and lordship. Everything that we see - and do not see - around us is a proof of the existence of Allah. He created, proportioned, fashioned everything according to His wisdom, and He continues to do so.

He covers bones with flesh and covers flesh with skin, and He clothes animals with wool and fur. He breathes life into the embryo while still in its mother’s womb and then He brings it out, provides for it, and protects and teaches it. Indeed, He creates humans in the best form and gives them two eyes, a tongue, and two lips and shows them the two paths. {Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? In whatever form He willed has He assembled you.} [Surat al-Infitār: 7-8] {...So blessed is Allah, the Best of Creators.} [Surat al-Mu’minūn: 14]

Thus, He, Exalted be He, testifies that He is the Creator of these human bodies.

The Almighty Lord created the humans and jinn so that they would know Him and worship Him. {And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.} [Surat adh-Dhāriyāt: 56]

The universe in harmony:

All creatures were not created for play, diversion, or for no purpose, far exalted is Allah above that! He says: {And We did not create the heavens and earth and what is between them for play.} [Surat al-Anbiyā’: 16]

All existents point to the attributes and traits of the Almighty Creator and indicate His beautiful names.

If the creatures were lines to be read, you would read them and see that they clearly point to their Creator.

Through them, the Glorified King sends us messages that there is no true god except Allah, and that every creature, silent or speaking, leads to Him.

Allah Almighty says: {Indeed, We have created all things with due proportion.} [Surat al-Qamar: 49]

Doctors say that the opening of the larynx is accurately determined and designed. If it were a little wider, one’s voice would disappear, and if it were a little narrower, he would find it hard to breathe. So, either easy breathing with no voice, or a clear voice with difficult breathing.

{...[It is] the work of Allah, Who perfected all things. Indeed, He is All-Aware of what you do...} [Surat an-Naml: 88]

Likewise, if our sight were stronger, our life would turn into Hell.

If you look at the glass of water you drink from, you will see it clear and pure. But if your sight were a little stronger and sharper, you would see amazing things in the glass. You would see countless living organisms and harmless germs. Certainly, you would not be able to drink then.

{Indeed, We have created all things with due proportion.}

[Surat al-Qamar: 49]

Also, if our sense of hearing were a little stronger, we would not be able to sleep at night, being disturbed by all different kinds of sounds. Even the sounds in our digestive system alone are like a large laboratory. {Indeed, We have created all things with due proportion.} [Surat al-Qamar: 49]

And if our sense of touching increased a little bit, we would feel the static electricity around us, which would turn our life into an unbearable Hell. {And in yourselves. Then will you not see?} [Surat adh-Dhāriyāt: 21]

{This is the creation of Allah. So show Me what those other than Him have created...} [Surat Luqmān: 11]

Nonetheless, there are people with tainted dispositions and sick souls arguing regarding Allah Almighty, even though His signs exist even within their own bodies. How strange! {And they rejected them, while their [inner] selves were convinced thereof...} [Surat an-Naml: 14]

{And if you ask them: “Who created the heavens and earth?” They would surely say: “Allah.” Say: “Praise be to Allah”; but most of them do not know.} [Surat Luqmān: 25]

Rest assured!

The believer knows that he obtains honor and strength through the Creator. So, he feels reassured, being aware that the One Who created him will preserve him and not neglect him; and that everything, ease and hardship, poverty and opulence, will ultimately be good for him. {Indeed, the allies of Allah will have no fear, nor will they grieve.} [Surat Yūnus: 62]

O Allah, we implore You by Your name “Al-Khāliq” to make us among Your allies and close servants.
