Here is a message to everyone who feels bored of his life and finds difficulty therein. We give you the glad tidings that support, victory, relief, and ease are soon to come.
A bright hope, a good future, and a true promise lie ahead. {[It is] the promise of Allah. Allah does not fail in His promise...} [Surat ar-Rūm: 6] Indeed, your Lord and Creator says: {And to Allah belong the most beautiful names, so invoke Him by them...} [Surat al-A‘rāf:180] If you invoke Him by them, what will the result be? {And your Lord said: “Call on Me and I will answer your prayer”...} [Surat Ghāfir: 60]
Let us draw close to our Lord by learning about one of His beautiful names; namely “Al-Muhaymin” (the All-Controller).
Knowing Allah Almighty through His beautiful names and attributes is the core of the religion and guidance and the best thing to be grasped by the hearts, souls, and minds.
Allah’s name “Al-Muhaymin” occurs at the end of Surat al-Hashr: {He is Allah, there is no god except Him, the King, the Most Holy, the Source of Peace, the Giver of Belief (Security), the All-Controller.} [Surat al-Hashr: 23]
Our Lord, the All-Controller, is the One Who manages all matters and affairs of His creation and knows everything, including secrets and innermost thoughts. He encompasses all things in His knowledge and watches over the words and deeds of His servants. Nothing of their actions escapes His knowledge, even an atom’s weight, in the heaven or on earth, is not hidden from Him. {...And not absent from your Lord is any [part] of an atom’s weight within the earth or within the heaven or [anything] smaller than that or greater but that it is in a clear register.} [Surat Yūnus: 61]
All one’s conditions, fluctuations, and activities during the day and night, be they public or secret, are known to the Knower of the Unseen and registered by Him. {...Indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden.} [Surat Taha: 7]
For Him, private talk is a public one, secrets are open matters, and what is hidden is in fact apparent and revealed.
A group of hypocrites were planning evil and cunning plots against the Muslims, so the Knower of the unseen exposed them saying: {They conceal [their evil intentions and deeds] from the people, but they cannot conceal [them] from Allah, and He is with them [with His knowledge] when they spend the night in such as He does not accept of speech. And ever is Allah, of what they do, encompassing.} [Surat an-Nisā’: 108]
‘Umayr ibn Wahb and Safwān ibn Umayyah sat together by night at the Ka‘bah, after the battle of Badr, plotting to assassinate the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him), but Allah Almighty informed him of their evil plot.
He is powerfully dominant over the Throne, and to His glory all faces are humbled and fall in prostration.
Yes, He is the All-Controller, the Preserver, and the Overseer of His servants and their actions.
O you whose eyes flow with tears, wipe them and enjoy comfort and calm, for indeed you will get protection, care, and kindness from the Creator of the universe.
Rest assured, O servant of Allah, for fate has already been determined, everything has been decided, and relief is actually occurring.
How often do we fear death, and yet we do not die?!
How often do we face severe hardships and crises and darkness prevails our life, and then all of a sudden we find relief, victory, support, and hope?! {Say: “It is Allah Who saves you from it and from every distress; then you [still] associate others with Him.”} [Surat al-An‘ām: 64]
How often do we feel that life has become so dark and narrow and then ease and abundance quickly emerge!? {And if Allah should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except Him; and if He intends for you good, then there is no repeller of His bounty. He causes it to reach whom He wills of His servants. And He is the Forgiving, the Most Merciful.} [Surat Yūnus: 107]
Our Lord is the All-Controller. All glory and power belong to Him, and from Him relief comes.
Ibn Kathīr reported a tradition from Wahb ibn Munabbih: “Allah Almighty said in one of His scriptures: ‘By My honor and majesty, if a servant of Mine resorts to Me and all those in the heavens and earth plot against him, I will certainly grant him relief and a way out. By My honor and majesty, if a servant of Mine resorts to anyone other than Me, I will certainly spoil the ground under his feet.’”
Our Lord, the All-Controller, Your majesty never goes away and Your judgment will sure come to pass regarding every matter.
Your dominion is enduring eternally, and nothing happens in this universe except according to Your will.
Our Lord, Exalted be He, describes the Qur’an as a controller over the previous scriptures: {And We have revealed to you the Book in truth, confirming that which preceded it of the Scripture and as a controller over it...} [Surat al-Mā’idah: 48]
The Noble Qur’an is, thus, a controller and criterion over the preceding books. It has come with the best in these books and abrogated parts thereof, and it relates to the Children of Israel most of the things over which they differ, thus exposing their distortions and revealing the truth contained in those previous books.
Any Muslim who believes in this, his exaltation of the Book of Allah must yield within his heart feelings of love, joy, and gratitude to Allah for guiding him. Such guidance is the hope of every person and the pursuit of every believer in every Rak‘ah of prayer as he says: {Guide us to the straight path.} [Surat al-Fātihah: 6]
O Allah, the All-Controller, guide us among those You have guided, take us as allies among those You took as allies, and forgive us, our parents, and all Muslims.
